Co-Curricular Activities

Co-curricular activities play a vital role in transforming students from passive learners into confident, creative, and well-balanced individuals. These activities complement academic learning and contribute significantly to the physical, emotional, intellectual, social, and moral development of students.

At Saraswati Public School, co-curricular activities are designed to nurture creativity, scientific thinking, leadership, cooperation, and innovation. They provide students with opportunities to explore their talents, express their ideas, and apply knowledge practically — thereby developing a scientific temperament and a problem-solving attitude, which are essential in the modern world.

These activities protect students from the monotony of rote learning by offering hands-on experiences through the “learning by doing” approach. At the same time, they prepare learners for future challenges by enhancing life skills, encouraging entrepreneurship, and fostering a sense of responsibility towards society and national development.

Our Approach

In line with this philosophy, Saraswati Public School follows a structured, well-planned, and progressive policy for co-curricular activities. These activities are implemented in a phased manner and are carefully designed according to the age, interests, physical ability, mental maturity, and individual needs of the students.

Our aim is to ensure that every child gets equal opportunities to participate, grow, and excel — academically as well as creatively.

Trained & Highly Qualified Faculty

The school is supported by a team of trained and experienced instructors, including specialists in:

  • Art & Craft
  • Music and Dance
  • Sports and Physical Education
  • Creative and Performing Arts

These experts guide, motivate, and mentor students to discover their strengths and achieve excellence in their chosen areas.

Time Schedule

To maintain a healthy balance between academics and co-curricular learning:

  • Two dedicated periods of 40 minutes each are reserved every week exclusively for co-curricular activities.
  • These periods are usually scheduled during the last part of the school day to ensure students can participate freely and creatively without academic pressure.

Outcome

Through these activities, students develop:

  • Confidence and self-expression
  • Teamwork and leadership skills
  • Creativity and innovation
  • Discipline and time management
  • A sense of social and civic responsibility

Thus, co-curricular activities at Saraswati Public School form an integral part of education, nurturing students into responsible, capable, and well-rounded individuals prepared for the future.
